Elementary Students who achieve a letter grade of “A” in any one subject on their second grading period on their report card have just earned a free game of mini golf to be redeemed between Friday, 1/7/22 and Sunday, 2/6/22 at SOAR Adventure in Franklin. This is also true for students in Kindergarten and First grade who receive either a “3” or an “S” in any area of their report card. Just take proof of the “A” or “3” or “S” on either a print out or show the cashier the grade in Skyward on your phone and the student will get to play a free game. One parent or guardian must be with the student or group of up to 5 total students. Parents or guardians do not have to play if they do not want to and there is no charge if they do not play. If they want to play they can pay the adult fee and play along with the students.

Discovery Virtual K-8 School is a name honoring many prior historic voyages where individuals were willing to explore the unknown, learn in new spaces, and stretch their learning to make the greatest impact on our world. From exploring the Hudson Bay, searching for a northwest passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific, discovering the Hawaiian Islands, to exploring space in vessels all named “Discovery,” this name honors innovation, creativity, initiative, and the STEAM significance in K-8 education.
